Givenchy Fashion Show-The Colors of the Evening Were Black, Silver and White
The runway Fashion week show for this year’s fall/winter 2009-2010 the colors were black, white and silver, the stylish collection by Givenchy. Riccardo Tisci was giving quotes backstage. “It was Schiaparelli, animal sensuality, the forties, the thirties,” he began, and then pulled himself up with a more cogent submission: “Actually, I wanted to show lots of special shapes for all kinds of women.” The show, which took place on the evening of Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Carreau du Temple in Paris, was plagued because the clothes arrived late because of the bad Parisian city traffic. But once the show got started there were ample representations of Tisci’s breadth of appeal: suits, coats, tailored dresses, Iwell-cut pants and the colors of the evening were black, white, and silver.
